New Zealand: lights, camera, action…

New Zealand has to be one of the prettiest places on this planet. It is not only totally stunning but also home to some of the world’s best adventure tourism; the highest ratio of sheep to people; the best beer (Monteith’s) and chocolate (Whittakers); and the most interesting culture!

I didn’t really think that words could do it justice so I put this quick (well…7 minute long) video together to showcase just a few of our most memorable moments:

Here’s a little more information on some of what we got up to in this video to help you make some of these amazing memories for yourself:

Exploring Mount Eden, Auckland// Driving our Jucy Nissan Sunny to Paihia in the Bay of Islands// Soaking up some NZ history at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds// Kayaking to Haruru Falls in Paihia// Learning to surf in Raglan/ Feeding orphaned animals at Juno Hall hostel in Waitomo// Skipping towards the Glow Worm caves with Spellbound Tours// Discovering the real middle earth at Hobbiton in Matamata// Hiking to the top of Mount Maunganui// Taking in the sulphur scents of the thermal pools in Rotorua// Learning the Haka at the Tamaki Maori experience// Admiring the beautiful Huka Falls// Skydiving with Taupo Tandem Skydiving// Taking the ferry from Wellington to Picton in the south island// Walking to the Centre of New Zealand in Nelson// Kaikoura’s playful seal colony// The beautiful peninsula walkway in Kaikoura// The best day with Dolphin Encounter (watch an even more in-depth video of this epic tour here)// Riding the Queenstown GondolaLuging on Bob’s Peak// Jet boating on the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers with ThunderJet // Driving to Milford Sound// Cruising with Jucy on Milford Sound// Experiencing the Nevis Swing  (see us do this twice here)// Taking in the incredible views from the top of Queenstown Hill

Other experiences not to be missed that our GoPro didn’t capture are: bathing in the thermal pools in Rotorua; exploring the totally free Te Papa museum in Wellington; taking a walk through the stunning Abel Tasman National park; soaking in some more thermal pools in Hanmer Springs; hopping on a big red bus for a city tour of Christchurch; enjoying the view of Lake Tekapo from the top of Mount John; eating a Fergburger in Queenstown; catching a movie in the cutest cinema Paradiso in beautiful Wanaka; and visiting Monteith’s Brewery in Greymouth.

NZ is an incredible place! I’m actually not a fan or the Hobbit or LOTR 🙈🙈 so the whole middle earth thing was wasted on me haha! Hope you get to go one day 😊

You are so right Joe! It’s somewhere that I fall more in love with the longer I am away from it..it’s amazing! I hope you do go one day 😊

  4. Nice video! A video says so much more than photos. I regret not having filmed more on our trip around the world. New Zealand was probably the most beautiful country we’ve seen, so green and blue! The Hooker Valley Track in Mount Cook National Park was one of our favourite NZ hikes. You should definitely add that one to your list for next time. 😉 We didn’t do the dolphin encounter though, that looks really awesome! Looks like it’s been an awesome road trip! 🙂
